Technical Support Officer – Melbourne

Are you…

About the Position
As the Technical Support Officer your key function will be to apply your excellent customer service skills to our current customer base of Fabricators by delivering technical support and assistance using Multinail software systems, including on-site training, machinery and software installations and technical detailing assistance and advice.

Technical Support will be provided via phone, e-mail and using various online support tools – an effective communicator is a must!

In the Secondary function of the role you will be able to showcase your sales and networking expertise through the development of customer relationships and business clients along with assisting the State Business Development Manager in the preparation of business plans and proposals for new and existing clients and building and maintaining relationships with business partners, whilst increasing business contacts in the building industry and associated bodies.

Key Selection Criteria
This is a busy role, best suited to an individual who has extensive experience in the Timber Prefabrication Building Industry and importantly can relate to its people.

Selection Criteria Includes:

  • Experience within a detailing role in the timber pre-fabricated building and construction industry – qualifications in Roof/Floor Truss and Wall Frame detailing will be essential, experience with Multinail software would be advantageous;
  • Well-developed communication skills –both written and verbal – we’re in search of an open and able communicator who will connect easily with our customers and meet them at their point of need;
  • Aptitude and knowledge in IT – you will view problems as an opportunity to bring creative solutions – familiar with technical machinery software interfaces;
  • A proactive professional who brings passion to the table – understanding business and sales development in a manufacturing industry;
  • Ability to represent Mulitnail with confidence, honesty and credibility

Store Person (Machinery Division)

About the Position

The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide the safe, efficient and effective day to day running of our store – this is a hands-on role that will command top notch communication skills to both internal and external customers and a willingness to be helpful and provide an excellent service.

 

You will also be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Unloading incoming freight and loading outgoing freight
  • Receiving of goods – this will include using your eye for detail and accuracy to ensure that the correct goods have indeed been supplied, then receipting the goods into our ERP system and store them in the correct assigned location.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch parts including documentation and organizing transport for outgoing goods
  • Picking and transferring via ERP of parts for factory floor, field service vans and interstate offices
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, monitor minimum stock levels for re-order and perform cycle counting along with the associated administration tasks

Key Selection Criteria

This is a busy role, best suited to an individual who has at least 2 years’ experience in the warehouse/stock control industry and has strong use of ERP systems.

Additional Selection Criteria Includes:

  • Holds a current forklift and driver’s license
  • Good computer skills – you work well with technology and recognize its importance of its use in the store environment
  • High level of attention to detail – you can achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a safe and timely manner
  • Safety focused – ensuring your work area and storage areas are kept safe, clean and orderly
  • Great communication skills – you’ll enjoy communicating with your team, across the business and to our customers
  • Terrific customer service skills – ensuring your customers have a great experience

Perks of the job

This is a very exciting and challenging position, which offers full time employment Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm at our Stapylton production facility located at the northern end of the Gold Coast.  Multinail has great career opportunities.
