C# Software Developer

About the Position

An opportunity has arisen for a C# Software Developer to join our Software Development Team based in our newly built Head Office located in Stapylton – the northern end of the Gold Coast.  In this role you will be responsible for the development cycle of engineering software modules.

You will bring to the role enthusiasm – taking on tasks and working with the team to see them through to successful delivery, possess a keen desire to build better solutions and bring innovation to our software solutions. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • The interpretation of specifications;
  • Hands-on design, development, test and implementation of software solutions;
  • Participate in agile practices to deliver high quality software;
  • Participate in code reviews and assist team members to improve in performance;
  • Write technical documentation, test cases and unit tests;
  • Regularly use modern source control software and build practices;
  • Communicate with technical development staff over requirements and issues related to new products;
  • Provide support to technical support staff and other staff;
  • Employ a high level of communication skills (verbal & written); and
  • Work as part of our team providing solutions to our customers.

Key Selection Criteria

This position is ideally suited to an individual who is a strong team player who will bring to the role a minimum of 5 years experience developing C#, developing .Net applications at a commercial level.

You will also possess:

  • IT degree, or equivalent computing qualifications;
  • A good understanding of geometry and trigonometry and a working knowledge of mathematics;
  • Good arithmetic reasoning and a high level of problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues;
  • Knowledge of the Windows environment;
  • In-depth knowledge object-orientation;
  • Knowledge of source code management.

Additional selection criteria are desirable but not essential:

  • Experience using Open Design Alliance’s Teigha software development platform;
  • DevExpress experience;
  • Development in an industry standard reporting system;
  • An understanding of engineering terms and the building industry;
  • Experience in CAD and/or graphics development.

The Role

Working as part of a team, you will be involved in & responsible for providing machinery service technician support for the Truss & Frame industry in a timely & efficient manner – professionalism & ability to provide a pleasant customer service experience is a must!

This role will require you to travel to our customers’ premises to provide service, repairs and emergency work on our machinery.  The successful candidate must have the ability to travel and to frequently work overtime.

The Successful applicant MUST possess the following attributes:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting) or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical and assembly experience
  • Experience working with hydraulics & automation is desirable
  • High risk work license – Forklift
  • Overhead crane use/ experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, assembly drawings & work instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude & problem-solving ability
  • Fit & able to perform physical and repetitive tasks
  • High Level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a safe & timely manner
  • Must be able to provide own tools of the trade

This is a very exciting and challenging position, which offers full-time employment Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with a 12noon finish on Fridays, regular overtime will be required, you will be based from our Stapylton production facility at the northern end of the Gold Coast, the role will see you out on the road most days working site from site to site at our customers’ premises.  Multinail has great career opportunities. About the Position

We are looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our team the key function of the role will be to apply your excellent detailing and customer service skills to our current customer base of Fabricators by delivering technical support and assistance using Multinail software systems, including on-site training, machinery, and software installations and technical detailing assistance and advice.

You will be furnished with a company car, mobile phone and laptop – get out from the desk and into the field – travel across the state and further afield.  Your territory will encompass NSW and sometimes beyond.

Key Selection Criteria

This is a busy role, suited to an individual who has extensive experience in the Timber Prefabrication Building Industry and importantly can relate to its people.

Additional Selection Criteria Includes:

  • Must have experience within an estimating / detailing role in the timber pre-fabricated building and construction industry – qualifications in Roof/Floor Truss and Wall Frame detailing will be essential, experience with Multinail software would be advantageous;
  • Well-developed communication skills –both written and verbal – we’re in search of an open and able communicator who will connect easily with our customers and meet them at their point of need;
  • Aptitude and knowledge in IT – you will view problems as an opportunity to bring creative solutions;
  • A proactive professional who brings passion to the table – understanding business and sales development in a manufacturing industry;
  • Ability to represent Multinail with confidence, honesty and credibility;
