Business Analyst

What you will be doing
As the Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of data, and workflow processes to develop insight into our business operations which will translate into detail required by our software developers to meet business goals and objectives.

It will involve:

  • Interacting with our customers to identify, analyse, and document business processes & workflows using Visio (or similar systems)
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for streamlining & improvements
  • Tenaciously designing resolutions to tricky problems
  • Problem-solving and applying creative solutions
  • Working with and guiding stakeholders to the most efficient use of resources and business process management functionality

 

You will be a great fit if

  • You hold a masters or bachelor’s degree majoring in a discipline such as, Business Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Information Technology
  • Hold 3- 5 years previous experience in Business/Systems Analyst or hands-on Project Manager, history working in manufacturing is beneficial
  • Have in depth knowledge of SQL and experience with BI reporting tools PowerBI, Tableau, or similar
  • Have experience working within an agile software development environment
  • Have a passion for construction, heavy plant and equipment, business systems and technology
  • Are highly proficient and skilled in working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to guarantee an outcome
  • Have a keen eye for detail and curiosity to find out why things might be failing
  • Are brilliant at communicating and working in a team – excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to travel regularly to meet with our customers located in QLD and beyond.

Maintenance Fitter

We are an Australian owned and operated company specalising in the manufacture of metal nail plate for the timber truss and frame industry, established in 1979 we are still going strong today! With over 300 employees in Australia and beyond.
Located in Stapylton – 4207 just near Yatala we are looking for a maintenance fitter to help out in our press shop facility.
This is a full time role – 38 hours per week with an early knock off on Friday’s!
We employ many long serving employees which says a lot about our working environment and culture.

Machinery Technical Support Officer – VIC

The Role
The primary focus of this role is to provide technical solutions to support our machinery and its software. Picture busy days liaising with our customers conducting investigations, diagnosing and proposing solutions to on-site problems.   You will be totally mobile working across the state.
The position carries the formal responsibility for the machinery hardware installation, operational and application software, network connectivity and printers, whilst providing remote support through a formal centralized service support desk operation.

 

Specifically you will:
  • Provide sound feasible and economic solutions to Multinail’s customers/fabricators by providing telephone support, whilst also attending fabricators sites as requested. This will include conducting investigations, diagnosing and proposing solutions to on-site problems.
  • Be the first point of contact for all reporting problems, requests for training, advice and guidance, and service questions.
  • Carrying out first problem determination, with a full analysis, before involving any other machinery or technical support.
  • Provide detailed design support to the Machinery Division with specifications, new features and enhancements, or modifications to products, as a result of testing or changing standards.
  • Be hands on with the ability to jump on the tools as and when required to help with installations and maintenance of machinery.

Your Experience
  • A broad knowledge of computer software and hardware gained through experience with IT systems; machinery manufacture industry experience is highly desirable, OR;
  • Extensive experience in machinery manufacture, operations, training and deployment in the truss fabrication machinery industry, OR;
  • Qualifications gained in an Electrical, Mechanical, IT Computer Systems or Engineering field, with a strong business, commercial background would be attractive and considered very advantageous.
  • Highly numerate and articulate, with good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to represent the company with confidence, honesty, and credibility to customers, senior executives, and suppliers.
  • Highly desirable for you to have an appreciation of the manufacturing processes and procedures, as well as experience with the timber pre-fabrication building and construction industry.

Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Position
Reporting to the Machinery Production Manager, the primary focus of this role will be the skilful, effective and efficient design of new and innovative machinery for our Machinery Division.  You will have the ability to think outside the square to bring innovative ideas and design to reality, you will bring to the table quality machinery design – listening to market intelligence and determining a fit for purpose result for our customer demands.  Additionally, you will have the capability to resolve issues and contribute to the fast-moving manufacturing environment that will see you build success in our company.
This position is based at the Machinery Division at our Stapylton facility, which is located at the Northern end of the sunny Gold Coast.

 

To be considered for this position the successful candidate will possess: 
  • Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Design Engineer
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience using 3D CAD programs
  • Experience in the Engineering or building field

 

Additional selection criteria 
  • Ability to competently use CAD in Metric and Imperial
  • Experience developing new machinery based on production criteria from our customers
  • Aptitude to work with production staff to create BOM structures in the production system
  • Experience developing and updating equipment manuals and supporting data

About the Position

An opportunity has arisen for a C# Software Developer to join our Software Development Team based in our newly built Head Office located in Stapylton – the northern end of the Gold Coast. In this role you will be responsible for the development cycle of engineering software modules.

You will bring to the role enthusiasm – taking on tasks and working with the team to see them through to successful delivery, possess a keen desire to build better solutions and bring innovation to our software solutions. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • The interpretation of specifications;
  • Hands on design, development, test and implementation of software solutions;
  • Participate in agile practices to deliver high quality software;
  • Participate in code reviews and assist team members to improve in performance;
  • Write technical documentation, test cases and unit tests;
  • Regularly use modern source control software and build practices;
  • Communicate with technical development staff over requirements and issues related to new products;
  • Provide support to technical support staff and other staff;
  • Employ a high level of communication skills (verbal & written); and
  • Work as part of our team providing solutions to our customers.

 

Key Selection Criteria

This position is ideally suited to an individual who is a strong team player who will bring to the role a minimum of 5 years experience developing C#, developing .Net applications at a commercial level.

 

You will also possess:

  • IT degree, or equivalent computing qualifications;
  • A good understanding of geometry and trigonometry and a working knowledge of mathematics;
  • Good arithmetic reasoning and a high level of problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues;
  • Knowledge of the Windows environment;
  • In depth knowledge object-oriention;
  • Knowledge of source code management.

 

Additional selection criteria are desirable but not essential:

  • Experience using Open Design Alliance’s Teigha software development platform;
  • DevExpress experience; • Development in an industry standard reporting system;
  • An understanding of engineering terms and the building industry;
