Multi Axis Cutting (MAC) Saw

Multi Axis Cutter

The Multi Axis Cutter (MAC Saw) is a purpose built component cutter for the truss and frame industry that performs precision cutting and marking of multiple timber members.

The MAC Saw is a fully automated timber processing console that accepts raw stock from the automated timber feeder, processes members and delivers them to the timber sorting and kick off area.

Multinail's state of the art, user friendly software allows the operator to load, cut, mark and stack cut members with virtually no involvement in the saw operation.

MultiCut (Saw Control Software)

Accepts downloads directly from Multinail's suite of truss, wall and floor design applications and integrates into Multinail's FMS (Factory Management System) for full production control.

MultiCut does not require the user to have computer skills to operate the saw. The application has touch-screen menus which will be familiar to current VectorView users which will enable manual saw users to easily migrate to performing in-line cutting.

MultiCut includes an easy-to-use Designer screen where individual members can be designed and produced.

An integrated security system permits each operator to be assigned access to functions suited to their skills and experience.

Integrated into MultiCut is MultiMiser, a job optimiser which re-order, flip and combine members to produce a cutting sequence that will minimise waste. Where waste timber cannot be re-used for job members, it is automatically cut into user definable stock shapes.

MultiMiser can be configured not to flip chords which exceed a user specified length so any natural timber camber is correctly applied.

MultiMiser draws upon a user maintainable material stock list to use the least cost/meter of available timber to ensure minimal overall job cost.

MultiMiser can be set to use stack timber, where possible, to concurrently cut multiple members and reduce production times.

Electronic Control System

The MacSaw uses a state-of -the-art motion controller which co-ordinates the movement of multiple axis to perform rapid and accurate cuts and mitres
